PRECINCT #4 UPDATE
Precinct #4 will be assisting with the debris removal efforts. Residents will need to call or email the community assistance department at 832-927-4444 or email at service@hcp4.net to get their home on the list. You can also submit a web portal request as well at Harris County Commissioner Precinct 4 > Assistance (harriscountytx.gov) cp4.harriscountytx.gov/Assistance Please be aware our first priority is clearing major roads, throughfares first and then we will be moving into neighborhoods. Our Precinct 4 Road & Bridge team will work on the debris removal after that along with county contractors if needed. Please be aware that debris must be within the right of way towards the curb but not blocking the road. Please be aware that we are unable to pick up anything that is bagged. Please make sure to bundle your debris in piles of vegetation/limbs and another pile for fencing. Another option that is also available to the public is the use of our public dumpsters where the public can bring their debris to one of the two public dumpsters within precinct 4 and dispose of it. Our public dumpsters are open until 5pm and I have included the link below for the two addresses. We do make exceptions during the storm and will take debris. Please note the public dumpsters are free to the public but only for residents usage not commercial or contractor use. Public Dumpsters (harriscountytx.gov) cp4.harriscountytx.gov/Public-Dumpsters Please note we do have cooling centers at the local community centers Radack, Weekly and Bayland and we also have food, water and ice distributions at Radack and Bayland. Feel free to follow us on social media for updates and more information in addition to Ready Harris.
BEST TRASH UPDATE
Routes are running as scheduled with some limitations on grass clipping collection. Grass clippings need to be in clear bags or the brown paper bags so we can determine that it is not storm debris. Household trash should be placed in white bags to clearly distinguish from storm debris. Our main focus will be to collect household trash (kitchen and bathroom trash). Please ensure that the storm debris is separate from your regular trash to avoid any confusion. Please note that cleaning your yard after the storm is considered storm debris and will need to be separated from your regular trash. Please be patient as we are working hard to get through the day and there may be some delays in getting serviced on your scheduled day. Due to the current volume of food waste and due to so many residents being without power we are focusing on the priority trash at this time. We are hoping this will taper off by early next week, therefore we can start collecting grass clippings again. Best Trash extends sympathy for all of those affected by the storm. We understand that this was a catastrophic event. It is encouraged to have residents contact their Precinct or County to see when storm debris collection will happen. Please note that storm debris is not part of the normal heavy trash collection for Best Trash. Unfortunately, due to the massive scale of this catastrophe, we are not able to provide any free storm debris collection. Please be patient as we are working hard to get through the day and there may be some delays in getting serviced on your scheduled day. There are three options: Residents can wait until the county can come out. You may also call a tree trimming service for removal of the tree branches. To ensure a timely response please contact Best Trash Office: 281-313-2378 best-trash.com
